Specialty Wood Fired Pizza In DFW

Ever since I moved a little further away from 75 into Murphy (super suburb to the burbs) I feel like I am even further away from everything that is “cool and trendy”. It takes me about 30 minutes to get where I need to be, but I am used to a 15 minute drive.

I decided to explore the area I am in and try some new restaurants near home. My husband and I are suckers for Pizza. However I am basic in that I am a thin and crispy pepperoni pizza or an Alfredo pizza. So we took a trip to The Rock - Wood Fired Pizza.

The vibe is definitely a super cool rock and roll! The exposed brick and and neon light fixtures give it a modern atmosphere with a touch of appreciation for music.

The menu ranges from chips and Queso, fresh salads, succulent burgers and made to order pizzas just how you like it. The pizza menu gives you options to choose your own sauces and toppings or order a specialty pizza crafted from their chef to be perfectly paired.

The patio at night has an amazing clear view of the stars at night if you like to enjoy the outdoors while you sip on one of their craft beers or signature cocktails.

There is something on the menu for everyone including gluten free and vegan options.

My husband and I decided to try their pepperoni pizza on our first visit - well cause that’s our go to pizza.I know, it’s not very exciting - but it’s who we are.

My oldest son Cody, who is the adventurous one decided to try one of their burgers. His favorite thing about ordering burgers is slicing them in half to see if they will stand the test of not losing all the yummi-ness that is stacked in the center. I think this comes from his stint at Whataburger when he would make his own burgers how he liked them in the kitchen!

We definitely were not disappointed with our meal and I am sure that you won’t be with yours either.
